I have the skills and knowledge to help you
I completed my Masters degree at Bristol University, where I studied play in dogs and how this affects their wellbeing. Just one year later I passed my assessment with the Association of Pet Dog Trainers UK scoring 49/50, demonstrating my skill in dog behaviour and training.
I have over 7 years' of practical experience working with dogs, from boarding and rescue kennels to group classes and one-on-one lessons. I worked for Dogs Trust for over 2 years, starting as a dog trainer in the Loughborough Rehoming Centre and progressing to Head Coach of Leicestershire Dog School, before starting Venture Dogs in July 2018.
I hope to start my second Masters degree in September 2021, studying Clinical Animal Behaviour at Edinburgh University. I am still available for sessions on evenings and Saturdays.
I use only the most up-to-date scientific, force-free, and kind methods.
I have a Masters degree in Zoology from Bristol University, focusing on animal behaviour.
I am a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers UK and Animal Behaviour and Training Council
I am qualified to perform Emergency Canine Care with Dog First Aid.
Training your dog shouldn't be hard
Many dog owners have the same issues and worries about their pets. They may struggle with loose-lead walking, have a dog who barks at other dogs on walks, or worry about leaving them home alone. Whatever the issue is that you have, I can guarantee that you're not the only one - even though it may seem that way.
Training your pet isn't about tough love or who is 'top dog', and it shouldn't be hard. I train without fear or force, and make dog behaviour and training easy to understand for everyone. My aim is to provide jargon-free and simple advice to make life with your dog more fun and worry-free.
